I didn’t like hobbit until I realized that LOTR is by Frodo - serious, and Hobbit is by Bilbo - full of embelishments and exaggeration. Then I was more forgiving.

The Hobbit movies were my introduction to Tolkien around 2013 or 14. Now I realize it isn't as good in comparison to other Tolkien adaptations, but it sti holds a special place in my heart and I'm such a simp for Lee Pace as Thranduil 😂❤️

i enjoyed LOTR and thw Hobbit... but I never go into adaptations expecting very close renderings and know that liberties will be taking when ever able to. I still watch the animated versions.

Watching the hobbit movie moved me to go back to read it. I hadn't really enjoyed the book initially. I think the movie gave me some perspective to read the book through a different lens.

I watched The Hobbit in theatres at a premiere with Peter Jackson and Lee Pace. I’ve not watched it since. There’s no topping that viewing experience, even if I didn’t love those movies like LOTR 😂

I love the Hobbit. They are my comfort movies and let me say being in the fandom when you love someting other people hate and routinely go out of their way to shit on is exhausting. I've heard everything there is to say on the Hobbit in the last 10 years. The fandom punching bag until ROP popped up. (this is not directed at you just in general)

I didn’t like the Hobbit films at first but upon rewatching them, I grew to love them. They’re more light hearted and campy so they can be more accessible esp for younger viewers
