I’m old enough to remember the first movie was actually an intelligent thriller and not a stunt exhibition.

Fascinating. I had no idea. My wife left me

Probably the reason why the first one is the only one that's good

The weirdest part is that these movies do not have a giant man named Reacher…

I've seen all of the MI movies. I don't know the story for any of them. Apparently the scriptwriters don't either.

Honestly, that explains why I hate them and can’t bring myself to finish one

I think Dead Reckoning feels like exactly the kind of movie that would come out of this process. Fallout was a miracle and they learned the wrong lesson from that process working.

The whole point of a movie cinema is big action sequences. Story and emotion can be told in our lounge rooms. I’m glad most movies aren’t like this, but I’m also glad these are.

Honestly, it would be better at this point, if Tom Cruise just did a series of documentaries where he did crazy stunts and they had behind-the-scenes of planning and executing the stunts.

Can’t Stop Sealcoating :
There is one simple reason why it’s the best action movie franchise of all time and that’s because Tom cruise is not acting. He actually believes he’s this awesome. He thinks he’s saving the world.

I guess this is why I’ve hated every single one except the first. I bet they had a script for that one.

I bet that for Reacher, which is about a huge guy fighting crime, they do have a script and shoot it properly.

Film writing is 180 degrees comparison to prose/novel writing. Sean Baker (Anora) often veers from his dialogue that he’s written in the script and just lets the actors improvise. Other directors have done this. Movies, essentially, are more about the visuals.

And somehow, Hollywood keeps losing money on $500 million films. Weird.

I’m a musician. Songwriting is similar to this. Sometimes you start with lyrics, sometimes you start with melody, sometimes you start with groove. Each method leads to a different product

I hated this franchise since I saw the first movie, because it has nothing to do with the franchise it took its name from a ensemble cast who together complete impossible missions by combining talents

Tom cruise’s face is v puffy now. For that and other reasons I couldn’t get into this movie

It’s not weird considering they market the entire movie around the stunt

Who is actually watching this series? I had to tap out when Philip Seymour Hoffman gave his phone-in performance in MI3

I know this channel likes to troll the TV show Reacher, but Alan Ritchson is waaaaay better playing Jack Reacher than Tom Cruise

I think they do it this way so if Tom dies doing a stunt, they can write that in and still release the movie
