Surely if it only works on Bluetooth - its distance wouldn’t be very far as Bluetooth won’t track when you’re out of sight as such

I put my AirTags on a watch strap that you can get online. That’s an easy way to make sure your child has it on them all the time as opposed to a bag which might come off.
