I worked with dementia patients for over 20 years and when I say you’re doing a great job I really mean it. Lots of people give up and don’t visit. Keep doing what you’re doing. 🥰

Oh Jess, we literally have to lose them over and over. My mum is at rest now only age 71, dementia was so awful for her and for us as her family, you never heal from the loss of their memory but find peace in what you’re doing for her x the unknow every day is just heart wrenching x

my mother has alzeimers dementia. still recognises us and remembers her childhood. still thinks Dad is alive who passed 12 years ago. I find your videos are preparing me for what is to come, so thank you for making these and making many of us aware of the difficulties in dealing with this.

Aw, I know how you’re feeling, my mum never knew who I was for the last 5 years of her life, it truly is heartbreaking, she passed away very suddenly on the 14th February this year, which I feel was a blessing for her, it was hard enough to watch her decline but if we had got to the stage of her forgetting to eat & drink it would have been even worse, my mum was the strongest wee woman I ever knew & everyones “go to” & was truly heartbreaking for her to end up with dementia. God bless you & your nan, sending you both all my love x

My nan had dementia back in the late 70’s. The drs didn’t really know what is was or how to deal with it then. My dad was her only child and my brother and I were her only grandchildren. She didn’t know any of us. I was so frightened of her and she died in 1980 when I was 13. I watch you with your Nan and I wish I could have had arelationship with my Nan like the one you have with your Nan. You are fantastic with her. Stay strong. Love to you and your family , you are amazing. 🥰🥰🥰

She might not recognise you as her granddaughter but I truly believe she knows your a beautiful person, remember the illness isn’t her, approach her with songs from her era, the power of music helps🫶
