I've got the VKB omni throttle left and gladiator right and I absolutely love it that way. it's so intuitive and brought my flying to a whole other level

I run twin sticks but I also have a thrustmaster throttle and I used the throttle just for mining

depends on ship and playstile. you don't need a second stick if you fly haulers or industry ships. there are even ships that use stick and throttle in game

stick and throttle isn't as good because your lateral movements aren't as precise with a hat, but a nice x56 pro does no harm
