Flying through book 4 right now. Info dumps do continue, and there are recaps of previous stuff that is a little stilted. The battles continue to be complex to read. But I love the world and lore much

In terms of humor, the first book is definitely the most “for teenage boys”. I also find that the battle scenes do remain interesting as he begins to switch up the format in books 3/4.
