rotor hub pitch change links loosened, sending rotor off track, impacting tail cone, rotor hub broke from cabin. Helicopters are a death trap if equipment isn't optimal. Many hrs fixing/flying them.

Me and my son visited NYC over Christmas, and I wanted to surprise him with a Helicopter ride over the city. Bought the tickets, arrived to helipad, and took one look at the helicopter and left.

I’m up for most things and fly a lot. But I’ve only once reluctantly been in a helicopter. They are just inherently unsafe I think. A pilot once told me that was his assessment.

This means the helicopter broke apart mid air. As horrible as what I’m about to say sounds, I hope they didn’t fall tot heir deaths and they passed almost immediately. How terrifying!

the owner of the helicopter is now saying they're trying to claim the pilot called in saying they were "out of fuel"....I'm confused how "out of fuel" had caused a WHOLE PROPELLER to fly off?
