I feel like I was a well rounded administrator. We got tired of being in circumvented from protecting my staff and I left. I’m back in the classroom way happier I don’t have to deal with the politics

the same thing happened in Montgomery, Alabama recently! we had an amazing superintendent and then the board started spreading rumors about him (racially motivates) and he resigned! I hated that!

Our superintendent cares more about his social media than the district. Downtown cares more about PR than supporting their community. Most of them don't even live in the town but they taking town$

I've said for years that teaching is effectively a dead end job. There is no advancement based solely on experience and proficiency. The best you can hope for is seniority in the department.
