I fell for the "thifting is stealing clothes form the poor" until I saw that the backroom of my local thrift shop is bigger and has more stuff than the shop itself. The suply is endlessly.

I totally agree! But I would consider sustainability and human rights to be measured differently—to conflate them could further confuse an already complex issue. Of course they are both important!

People forget that thrift stores are often a way for charities to raise money to support programs for the poor. It isn’t just about making clothes available for people at a “cheap” price.

Yes !!! This is why sometimes I kind of hate the word Sustainable since it can be so misconstrued and people can use it without considering ethical labor practices. I prefer saying ethical fashion
