Are you overlooking the scholarly work done by Trey Parker and Matt Stone on the subject? I believe they conclusively showed that St. Peter was, in fact, Peter Cottontail, who was, in fact, a bunny.

It’s difficult to ignore the fact that most of the civilized world was enjoying the eggs and rebirth of agriculture that was happening at this time. And fertility among the forest animals.

I’m Lithuanian, and you probably know they were the last pagan stronghold in Europe, they decorate eggs, and have for centuries, isn’t it just a coincidence or is it paganism??

Jesus’s last supper was a Passover meal and they wouldn’t have had bread as part of the meal because of it. People forget he was a Jew

In Sweden this is when the witches go party with the Devil. We decorate with witches and in some towns children dress up as witches and begs for candy.

Easter began as a Akkadian (3000bc) fertility holiday marking the beginning of a new year, celebrated by modern Iranians as nowruz. There are Iranian nowruz folk songs that mention rabbits and eggs.

The eggs and rabbits are from pagan tradition, though; eggs represent new life and rabbits represent fertility. The word 'Easter' comes from 'Eostre', the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring and fertility.

eostre WAS associated with rabbits and eggs AND associated with .... wait for it ... Ishtar. soo ... wow ... pagan (or non-Christian). I used to think of you as well researched. you are correct in that these items are adopted by medieval Christians. much like many PAGAN practices. every Christian celebrates the passover in the last meal or last sacrifice for "passover"

Imo you're being generous when it comes to Ostera/Eostre.
If the Grimms hadn't picked up Bede's mention there would be very few ppl who'd even entertain the thought of her existence
