No, it’s not just haram… it’s actually kufr. When you become a lawyer, you’re required to take an Oath of Allegiance to the Crown. If that’s not kufr, I don’t know what is🤦♀️

problem isn't defending criminals, it's being judged by kufr law, if you're judging by kufr law and obeying it and loving it you're not a Muslim anymore, and this is by the consensus of the Muslims

As long as you’re working within the bounds of shari’ah, meaning not defend those who went against Allahs law and not working in a mixed environment with non mahram males it’s permissible
