@pelle: Have you ever heard of acrobatic gymnastics? Acrobatic gymnastics is a type of gymnastics where gymnasts work in groups to perform acrobatic elements and other skills. There are four categories in acrobatic gymnastics: women's pair, men's pair, women's group of three and men's group of four.
The people a gymnast works with are called their partners. The top/flyer gets thrown and held in the air. The base(s) throws them, holds them and catches them. The Partnerships compete together in competitions with one two or three routines which consist of dance, individuals, moves/elements and tumbling. There are two types of gymnastics moves: tempo/dynamic and balance. Balance moves hold still and for three seconds. For example, a top doing a handstand on their bases hands. Tempo is where the top gets thrown in the air. For example, a double pike to floor. There are lots of different grades for which level you are at. They are: novice, grade 1, grade 2, grade3, grade 4, grade 5, aspire, idp1, idp2, youth, 11-16, 12-18, 13-19 and senior. Partnerships compete against other partnerships who are in the same grade as them. Acrobatic gymnastics is not in the Olympics however hopefully it someday will be
