Will this be available for those with pacemakers? I’m not allowed near magnetic machines big or small :(

I found TMS very helpful but part of me thought it was mostly from going somewhere every day and talking to the nice lady who ran my magnet coil

There ARE side effects. Tinnitus, memory loss, TMJ, and migraines are a few. My cousin can’t remember anything from before TMS.

I study TMS for MDD! TMS can stimulate up to 4 cm’s deep, but it is believed that targeting neural networks can lead to the stimulation of deeper regions, potentially (ex. Hippocampus)! 😄

I looked into this. It was $400 a session and they wanted you to commit to 8 sessions. I almost bought a magnet helmet on amazon instead. 😂

TMS worked super well for my bipolar, went from a PHQ-9 of 26 to a 3. However it revealed severe OCD so now I've got that to deal with😒

I received TMS as part of a clinical trial for TRD. It didn’t cure my depression but I would say that it oddly changed my brains processing abilities. Hard to describe.

I only did a few sessions—my psychiatrist told me to discontinue. The ‘zaps’ were super painful (I was flinching and in tears), and the TMS practitioners told me this was normal. It isn’t! Beware!

statistically insignificant, this is taking a mechanical approach of medicine which at heart fails to comprehend that our knowledge base at describing how the brain works are theories
