You all got it wrong. The point of mouth tape is to keep your mouth closed for the most part and align the jaw all night. They made it breathable in case of emergency as the body will naturally make you breathe through your mouth if you aren’t getting enough oxygen while sleeping

youd wake up lol, if you couldn't breathe the fear your brain fears when it has no oxygen would jolt you awake. has happened to me when my nose got clogged mid sleep and it jolted me awake
