@mark_decola: A few steps forward and one back 😅 Open to hearing some tricks on the CV! #canam #cvaxle #sxs #defender #polaris #rzr #sxsblog #kawasaki #polarisranger #MDDP
Maybe you already fixed it, but if you pull the cv axle from the other side, there is an open hole that runs through the trans and you can use a rod to push the axle out from the other side. Also, Can Am’s store mileage/vin/info duplicated between the ECM and cluster. If you go to a Can Am dealer they can pull the data from the ECM to show on the cluster. You can even have them make the cluster show “Hello ” at startup

take a ratchet strap around the top. loop it around the whole axle by the diff and hook it to its self. pull like a son a gun real quick.

If you ever need any clutches for these machines, I work for a company that does calibrated clutching for larger tires on these machines. I could get you a good deal on them

Miles are stored in the cluster no way to get them with computer from ecu but hrs are stored in the ecu so just run maintenance on hrs

you can tap the cv back in with a hammer can give you another chance on getting it out, although have seen completely stuck cvs which we had to weld a plate on and slide hammer out

Wrap a strap around the cup and just tie something heavy to the other end like a sledge or I use a hitch and yank one time.

We deal with uvs at bobcat which are very similar and when the cup is stuck in don’t try to remove it and just rebuild it there’s a retaining clip in the boot and you can replace everything but the cu
