@upstate_canecorso: 9:19 pm 4/13 We had to say our last goodbyes to My Athena 💔 I feel so incomplete , Lost , Depressed , You gave me everything Athena , You helped build my foundation from the ground up , I can't handle this pain 😓, You were always genuine , Loyal and the best girl , You were my protector and I thought you would grow older and be all grumpy , Not leave me at 7 💔 , I don't believe it was your time , It happened all too quickly , I pulled every favor I had to get you the help you needed . Athena sporadically Got Gastric Torsion (GDV) I took a video with her at 2:21 Sunday and by 4 she couldn't walk , All she did was drink water and played , Her stomach instantly became Bloated ,GDV develops without warning , Her lactate level was a 9 . A regular level is between 0-1;Lactate is an indication of sepsis so prognosis goes down if high. Her stomach filled with gas and then twists, trapping the contents and cutting off blood flow. Large breeds are susceptible to this condition once older but WTF you were healthy as an ox , My day revolves around my animals & every second the dynamic is different now , I miss you giving me your paw , Putting your body weight against me, You are more than a dog you are piece of me that I'll never be able to see again 💔 Breeding is so difficult for me because the connection I have with every animal ; I never ever want to see you go , it makes me not want to do it anymore 💔💔 Im so lucky to have had you , I've grown as a man with you by my side Good or bad you always loved me the same , 1 dollar or a million your love is always the same . fuck I miss you and I can't stop crying . I would sell my home to save any of my kids , Yes my dogs are my kids 😫 I don't want to accept this but I'm happy me and your mom could be with you your last moments 💔Forever & Always my Athena 🕊️ #upstatecanecorso
