@cbsnews: American pastor Josh Sullivan was rescued Tuesday amid a shootout between South African police and his captors that left three suspects dead, authorities said. He had been abducted at gunpoint on April 10 during a prayer meeting at his church with more than two dozen people, including his wife and six children. Sullivan has been on the staff at Fellowship Baptist Church in Maryville, Tennessee, since February of 2012. He and his family traveled to South Africa in November 2018 with plans “to finish language school…and plant a church to the Xhosa speaking people,” according to his website. Sullivan’s wife Megan released a statement through a family spokesperson on Saturday thanking people for “the outpouring of love and prayers.” Read the full story at the link. #maryvilletn #tennessee #pastor #southafrica
