I took pictures during initial walkthrough including things that needed to be fixed our head of the place is not the easiest to work with but I don’t take it laying down

I document everything when I move in, all the repairs, receipts & I also log all my time. if they don't give it back, I hit them with a bill 2x the amount of deposit 😂🤣 win win 😂

I don't get the not getting a deposit back, I've moved 5 times and I've always gotten my full deposit back minus the cleaning fee that I was told about when I signed the lease

my first landlord ever kept $200 of our deposit because we supposedly stole a carbon monoxide detector it was a plug-in Style and we moved it from an outlet next to the stove to an outlet by bathroom

used to work for a complex and I for the most part always got them their deposit back except 1 guy who used his living room wall as a target with a BB gun for YEARS. Took me 2 weeks to redo the place

They charged us $600 to clean the place even tho it was already deep cleaned by my roommate and his fam. They washed the carpet and everything. Apparently the property management have done this before. Check the BBB for signing a lease

Had a landlord have us pay an extra $50 a month for two years for pet damages if it happened. Moved out and took our $1000 deposit because the 1990s office carpet smelled like dog. 🤯 like what?!

I once had my land Lord try and take my bond because I replaced their frayed fly screen in the back laundry door with a quality metal fly screen that looked amazing but It didn't have the hopes in it.
