I never grouped large parties together to insure I got a tip. couples got one ticket, singles got their own. I refused to do anything differently. even though in a group I wanted to give individual personalized service.

I think automatic gratuity should be added TO EVERY SINGLE TABLE. Percentage can be based on amount of guests/how much was spent. You wanna tip more than that, that's up to you

I don't think gratuity should be added at all. instead I think servers should get fair, liveable wages. any tips should be a bonus, not needed for the server to survive.

Genuine question, why do American companies not pay a liveable wage? Do servers seriously not make minimum wage? Im Scottish so haven’t a clue, just asking. I always tip but wouldnt want it just added

honestly hate tipping culture i think businesses should be required to pay there employees a living wage. Now I always tip well, unless you are completely rude and honestly they still get a tip cause people have bad days.

I have had to wait on parties of 40 before. With no auto gratuity. It sucks when they stiff you or tip less than 10%. Because I still have to tip out 3% to the kitchen. No matter what.

Fully support auto gratuity on large parties. They take up more space and time and without it they often stiff. I’m glad I know my group of friends wouldn’t stiff. (Many were servers and they get it)

The only thing I don’t like is some restaurants will out it on menu in tiny tiny print so no one sees it and don’t tell you so they get the tip that’s already counted in , and the tip you leave bc you
