My mom was diagnosed too late with hemochromatosis. It is very important, because that extra iron stores in the liver and causes scarring/cirrhosis. She passed away before she could get a transplant

My mom has this too and we have been doing more research thru a holistic doctor and the root cause of this is the liver. It can be fixed! Prayers to you🙏🏼❤️

Sweetheart hemochromatosis is absolutely manageable. But you must stay on top of it. There are types of dementia that can come from hemochromatosis that is not dealt with. Stay on top of it your gold

Im 41 and have hemochromatosis too. My periods have slacked way off since I had an ablation due to endometriosis. I still haven’t had to have any treatments.

I’m the opposite, I’m severely anemic. So I go to a hematologist and get iv iron infusions at the oncology center

I was very anemic about 15 years ago, a friend of mine’s mother had hemochromatosis and donated blood to me. Bless her and you!

I go through this once a year. My hematologist is in a cancer center too. he's also an oncologist. it's nerve wracking to see all those cancer patients because my Dad died of cancer. I'm always terrified I have it. I have MGUS. hoping all goes well for you!

I can completely relate. My mom got sick when I was 12. All the tests and medical procedures, hospitals has given me a life long white coat syndrome.

I'm VERY shocked they haven't been monitoring this. You should be amazing, you have no symptoms. But as a medical professional and someone w a rare disease since 12yrs old I'm stunned no monitoring

the fear associated with having to go to a place labeled a cancer center is so real!!! I just got referred by my doc to a hematologist at a cancer center and omg I know it's most likely that what I'm dealing with is just anemia + inflammation from hEDS but that cancer center label freaks me out so much
