My mom died at 53 years old from diabetes. She was on dialysis at 48 years old. She only got sicker (the kidney transplant waitlist was so long…😔) died from a stroke and severe kidney failure

As a diabetic I can tell you that most of us work so hard to compensate for how much less time we know we probably have to be in this world. Many of us do great things and die so very young.

Incredibly sad. I lost my grandmother to diabetes, she was 47. My husband and I are 3 years away from that age and I fear for him bc he lives with it and it’s scary some days. 🥺
