Deepa comes from a culture that puts a lot of importance on feeding people. I fed all the “Workers” at my event. Event planner, photographer, DJ. Everyone ate!

Wedding photographer here 🙋🏻♀️it’s built into my contract that I get a meal and if I don’t, I get an hour to leave to find a suitable meal.

Genuine question to the vendors, so you put into your contract that you are expected to be fed during, so do you lower your price for the meal? Or is it same price but you also get a meal?

If you aren’t providing a structured lunch break where they can leave and go get food/eat, you need to provide. Expecting someone to work dinner hour without food is GROSS

the tone these people are using are in line with modern day slavery. like you dont have the capacity to pay for the plates for your wedding vendors? they are humans they need breaks and to eat

Maybe its a cultural thing bc you should be serving your vendors, it doesnt need to be in a contract. Its just common courtesy.

I'm Mexican and I would feed my photographer, waiter, etc. They are humans, they are working, you can just order pizza or something but feed them
