I know these needing space feelings all too well. I used to be so close with my family, & over the years so much happend were I eventually said ENOUGH & pushed completely away. About 2 years ago my daughter had a serious surgery and that's when I decided for my daughter, to let bygones be bygones and slowly let them trickle back in my life. It's definitely has taken some getting used to because they wanted to go back to normal immediately, but I had changed so much. It's definitely a process..

I can relate on parental abuse . I still get emotional too so I try not to think or talk about it. It’s not good but I was taught 80% don’t care and 20% glad it’s you and not them
