It’s all a scam to keep people in debt and struggling to stay financially afloat

You’re pre approved for 300 doesn’t mean you need to use the whole amount. I was approved for 200k and bought my house for $87k

Makes perfect sense when you consider that the bank makes money off your mortgage. that's why it makes sense.

If you fall behind on rent the landlord is out of pocket. If you fall behind on your mortgage the lender takes possession of the property.

Interest vs loss, maintenance, and risk. A mortgage works out better for the bank. You assume risk, maintenance, and any loss in addition to paying interest

mortgage v renting: Landlords risk low income tenants becoming squatters. Banks only risk having to foreclose at no cost to themselves, thanks to the law and the deposit you put down.

Reminds me when I was younger I didn’t have the best credit and I tried to get a used car in my price range. They wouldn’t approve me for that but would for a brand new car 😑

Plus, with a loan you are paying taxes and interest and keeping the banks in business. I have a mortgage but after 30 years it’s mine. With rent, you just throw money away. Life is a business.

I can when you buy a home it is mandatory to have mortgage insurance that pays 100%up front to the lender if they foreclose. Really no loss to them they are out the eviction costs in an apt and rent

evictions takes time... months even... that time people that is been evicted don't even pay their rents, so the company looses money out of their pockets but in a foreclosure they win money back

$350,000 and paying $2800 a month I bought a house for 525 and I pay less than 3500 a month. The map doesn’t add up and we put almost $70,000 down so the math doesn’t add up for that. Her payment would be more like $2000 a month.

As a single Mom in Wa state the ONLY way I could get into an apartment was after a long wait for 'low income housing'. Then they kept raising my rent over and over again until it was literally 80%...

in my country it's the opposite, they would rather watch you pay 3k+ rent but won't approve a loan with 2-2.5k a month, make no sense 😖

Eviction they get back what is already theirs. foreclosure, it was yours, your higher payments were mostly interest, they get to sell with higher payments again and it'll still be mostly interest.

US is all a scam now and we have been speaking on the red flags for years, sadly we just do not do nothing about it.
