The person who found him couldn’t afford to help, so I took him in, even though I honestly can’t afford it either. But how could I leave him behind? We first thought he had calicivirus or herpes, but his condition is even worse. his tiny body is severely anemic, battling a dangerous blood infection. He’s barely hanging on — but he’s fighting. Pluto is on IV fluids, but he’s not stable. His lymph nodes and intestines are badly swollen, and he needs regular echography to monitor them. His treatment is expensive: over $40 a night for IV, $200+ for blood tests, and more for ongoing care. I didn’t plan for this.
