only fire fighters and ambulance should leave there cars running. cops never hurry to anything except to shot a human being so they need to turn off there vehicles

we keep them running to keep equipment charged, air tanks that are attached to our brakes full, and medications at proper temperature

I worked at a coffee shop as a teen. The FD stopped by to order some drinks. A customer got out of her car and said “ you cannot be serious! You should be saving lives! Do that on your days off”

actually federal dollars help support fire departments. especially small town and rural communities. but the reason the equipment is left running is incase of a emergency response is required.

there was a guy that habitually harassed our firefighters when they went out for this specific thing. it even made the local news. he even tried to get laws passed banning the trucks from leaving

Was having lunch at a restaurant on shift once. A guy approached us and said we shouldn’t have an ambulance outside because “people could think there’s an emergency and panic”.
