It makes sense though because they’re supposed to mate/bond with other races. Shep sees asari as humanoid, but it’s possible the turians see them as turian like and so on.

People really overthink this joke dialogue. We are all just attracted to different parts of the Asaris. There are many monuments depicting them, so they do in fact look the same for everybody.

I like the eldred horror theory but I think more likely is that they share so many traits with each species that each species sees himself in them because they recognize those traits.

my 1 argument against this is that Liara in M.E.1 wears human shape armor, so their bodies have to be humanoid. Regardless of how their faces look, their bodies are human like
