If I wanted to add 25 pounds of muscle in the next 6 months, this is what I’d do: 1. Increase my rep volume to the 12-15 range with your last set of every exercise ending in failure within that range. In other words, if you can do more than 15 reps, increase the weight being used and if you’re failing before you get to 12, lighten to weight. Make sure you’re getting full range of motion on every rep. NO HALF REPS‼️ 2. I’d eat in a slight caloric surplus of around 250-500 calories a day and when my weight stalls, increase calorie intake by another 250. This slight surplus will ensure that you’re giving your body the nutrition it needs to repair and grow, without going over board and stacking on a ton of unnecessary fat. 3. Make sure I’m getting AT LEAST .7-1gram of protein per pound of body weight. Protein are the building blocks of your body. No protein = no growth. 4. Id be certain that I was getting adequate rest of between 7-8 hours of sleep every night. I prioritize my bedtime over my wake up time. After a few days of consistently going to bed at the same time, your body will adjust and you won’t even have to use an alarm clock unless you just want to be safe. 5. I’d find someone who is bigger, stronger, and more advanced than me to use as an accountability partner or source of motivation. If you know someone personally in your city, great.
