Any prove for your concern? In practice you are opening up for different perspectives - not only skin colour or race. In the end it will be the leaders decision who fits best in the team - regardless of race - gender - age - it will be just the characters which are the base for judgement.

DEI quite literally favors competence over race/gender/disability. Many competent poc/women have been turned down for a position only for it to be given to a less competent white person.

DEI is the Affirmative Action of the 2020s. So many people in the 70s 80s and 90s were passed over for promotions and jobs based on the color of their skin. And guess what the color of their skin was?

For all the people saying that DEI is merit based. I got passed up for a full hire position working as a temp at a company i worked for every time because of a person of color. Some of them were trained by me! And some skipped the line and got full hired right out the gate, trust me, there was no merit with those ones. They lost a valuable employee because of that kind of mentality.
