When I first looked at this photo I thought “Wow, I am beautiful”. This is rarely my first thought when looking at a photo of myself. We could all use more self love. Reflecting on my own patterns of self judgment. I don’t want there to be a day when I look back & wish I had seen & known how rare, raw, beautiful, strong, wild & worthy I was, inside & out, in all the present moments of my life. I don’t want to live with regrets. I want to remember loving & embracing who I am. Living authentic, empowered, & owning my worth. I try my best each day to have this conscious awareness. Not to listen to the lies spoken in my mind created by past traumas, mental anxieties & depressions. Nor from the influences by what society deems as worthy & non worthy. Being in nature has always been my greatest healer for nature does not judge. I see our earth & universe moving with the rhythm of their own consciousness uninflected by any lack of self love & worth nor influenced from societal pressures. The moon does not compare itself to the sun. The vast ocean or smallest ant does not judge their size. Trees are not embarrassed or ashamed by the lines of their bark. Pluto knows itself as a planet, despite what anyone says. I often wish I could be as sentient as nature. Like so many I’ve been distracted & influenced over the years by the imprint of magazines, television, movies, billboards, scrolling through my phone; all telling me how I should look, act, & be. Now the impact of social media’s algorithm game of likes & follows determining a false sense of true worthiness. Taking time to be with myself when I find the ugly weight of self judgment trying it’s best to suffocate me. Blocking out all the noise. Breathing in the love & support given by those who truly see me for me. Reawakening my consciousness to love myself as I am. We are all worthy to love ourselves for who we are; non comparing, living rawly & authentically. Middle fingers up to judgement & shame. Always growing in self discovery. Transcending to become better versions of ourselves with every moment. Raising each other up along the way. Come home to nature, it will guide you. xo. #selflovejourney #onebreathatatime #fyp #beyou
