Postpartum almost took me out. Quietly. Slowly. I didn’t even realize how deep in the dark I was until I didn’t want to wake up anymore. Having a baby during a global pandemic, isolated from community, dealing with formula shortages, fear, instability, and no firm footing in the Word, those were open doors the enemy ran through. I felt attacked in every way. There were nights I prayed to go to sleep and wake up in glory. But God didn’t take me. He kept me. He preserved me. He protected me even from myself. And then He called me back. He called me home to Him. Not with shame. Not with wrath. But with love. Unshakable. Undeserved. Pure love. That is the kind of God I serve. One who stays close even when I wandered far. One who gave me a reason to live again. One who loved me back to life.
