I was GATE kid - a LOT of IQ testing for 3 years. In high school was convinced to take the ASVAB and became Army Intelligence Analyst (35F) (kicked out for asthma though)

In 1974,I was 14, I was in the Excelled Learning Program (ELP) in Wisconsin but back in 1971 I was in a small group of kids. There was no name that I remember. Most of that group made it into the ELP group. Same things as everyone mentions.

so this year they expanded our program to 6th grade for the first time, and now we find out they're expanding it to 7th grade next year... all while they're cutting things like title 1. wtf?!

When I was young it was called GATE. I didn’t know there was one called Epic. If that’s the case I think they are still doing it.

in Puerto Rico was (p.l.e.c) I don't remember what stands for but apart from that they had me in special education classes and going twice a month to a special therapy class tipe in a building we're they use to do tests and shit
