Weekend routine as a family of 6. Go to this post on my IG and comment.. Comment “PLAN” to get our Sunday weekly activity and meal plan templates. Comment “MINDSET” ro read the 7 things I focus on for building stamina as a parent - a free digital download! No breaks for moms (and dads!) - even on the weekends! Motherhood is a demanding job. Anyone telling you otherwise is either not a parent or trying to sell you something. This is why it’s important to place motherhood and parenthood on the same level as any other high performance job. Being a mom is like being a professional athlete. Being a mom is like running a successful entrepreneurial venture. Being a mom is like coaching a high performance team. When you equate motherhood to other high performance fields, you begin to realize the commonalities between what it takes to be a mom and what it takes to be in any other high level position. Then, you can start to draw from people who have found success in high-level positions, take what they’ve done, and apply it to motherhood. I often look to business, entrepreneurship, sports, and any other avenue where someone is doing something noteworthy. It’s easy to look at those who have achieved great things in life and attribute their success to natural talents and gifts. But upon further examination, I’ve narrowed down certain actions they take to seven- ish things. What? They take responsibility. They have a high-internal locus of control. They use action to drive their mindset. They elevate their identity by automating habits. They regularly put themselves in difficult or uncomfortable situations. They celebrate effort rather than reward. They remove anything from their lives that detracts from all of the above. Notice a key phrase: they learned. They weren’t born with the ability to do hard things; they learned how to cultivate certain skills and capitalized on these skills to be able to do hard things, like parenting. This excerpt is from my “MINDSET” guide, which will be part of my course! To read the rest, comment “MINDSET” and I’ll send you the link!
