€700 is only for the au pair job! For the social media job you need to be paid hourly.

Don't do it, that pay is horrendous and probably illegal.

I was gonna say..€700 a month isn't an amazing paycheck. You want at least €1300 a month

That salary would be illegal as it’s way below the minium wage per hour.

700 a month is awful. How long will you be looking after the kids? Even though they’re there 3 to 4 days if the expectation is that you will be dealing with them 24 hours that’s brutal. Also where will you be living?

That is great money for au pairs. Fyi au pairs don't work full time, they get an allowance, not a sallary. They also get accomodation, food, tickets for public transport, language course.

That sounds like slavery. The social media alone should be at least 1200€ a month

The au pair salary is only $280 that’s not a negotiable it’s a tax law. If he’s hiring you to be an „au pair“ and paying that much he’s hiring you as a live in nanny which implies different things than an au pair. Go through actual safety measures. It’s especially not au pairing because you’re not allowed to make any other income except through au pairing(so no Minijobs)

I am more concerned about the “helping his social media business” and what you would be expected to do. I feel like you would be exploited

I think most people commenting here don‘t understand what a live in au pair is. You get a room, food, and some pocket money. Therefore you look after the kids for a certain amount of hours.

they're taking advantage of you. full time live in nanny should cost 2k and being a part tome social media manager is a 1000 a month job.

That pay is horrendous. It is not even the bare minimum the govt says you need to survive here with benefits from the govt.

I'd really consider not accepting that offer. 700€/month is a really small salary for Germany.
