I like all the comments about “well ppl would put down their phones and finally talk to each other” like it doesn’t mean planes falling out of the sky, hospitals unable to keep people alive, NICU babies with no chance, ships floating in the ocean with no way to move, and who knows what would happen to the nuclear reactors around the world with no way to cool them. But cool, we’d talk more 🙃

Why do people want this?? well sure the aurora is the only good thing picked up from this event the consequences are fatal. First if this happened today since we rely so much on electricity than we did back I the day many things (Electricity) would be fried and disabled. Cars, fridges, phones, internet, anything thay uses electricity will be heavily damaged. keep in mind we could kill ourselves people would gl crazy due to scarcity on food/resources. Think before you speak

IIRC, there was a solar flare within the last 12 yrs or sothat would have been similar, but wasn't directed @ earth, and a X9 flare last year prob would have caused problems if it was earth directed
