Story details: This story is about the time the King heard the prophecy that Krishna, who was a baby at the time, would grow up to kill him one day. To keep his throne, the King sends Poothna, a demon, to go into the city and find and kill baby Krishna. She accepts his demand and magically disguises herself as a beautiful violin player and roams the city, looking for Krishna. When she enters the city she notices all the houses are grand but determines that the grandest house is Krishna’s. She enters the house and looks around for baby Krishna but when she sees him in his crib she runs towards him and can’t help but fawn over the adorable baby. She rocks his cradle, admiring him, before remembering that she is there to kill him. She initially refuses to but reminds herself that she is a demon and has a duty to the King. Poothna ensures no one is around before taking baby Krishna from the crib and beginning to breastfeed him since her demonous milk is poisonous to him.
