Misogynistic views cannot serve as the dominant ideology of a male society because such perspectives fundamentally undermine social cohesion, justice, and sustainable development. Societies that institutionalize or tolerate misogyny systematically marginalize half their population, restricting women’s access to education, employment, political participation, and basic rights. This exclusion not only violates universal human rights principles but also diminishes the collective intellectual, economic, and cultural potential necessary for societal advancement. Moreover, misogyny fosters environments prone to violence, discrimination, and instability, which are detrimental to social order and well-being. In contemporary contexts, global movements toward gender equality reflect a growing recognition that inclusive, equitable societies are more resilient and prosperous. Therefore, male societies that adopt or perpetuate misogynistic views risk social fragmentation, economic inefficiency, and ethical delegitimization. To achieve legitimate and enduring dominance—if dominance is understood as leadership that commands respect and fosters stability—male societies must embrace values of equality, respect, and collaboration rather than exclusionary and oppressive ideologies. Hence, misogyny is incompatible with the foundational principles required for any society’s legitimate dominance and long-term flourishing.
