Actually that river is very special. It one of the only blue water rivers in Australia. Heaps to do there plenty of beaches, camping, the harbour you have Eungella, Seaforth, Cape Hillsbrough plenty of hiking trails.

You went to the City Heart for insta pics? Mackay is more for waterfalls, water holes, beaches, pubs with great ocean views, etc
