i mean i get what you’re saying but you can’t really reduce ALL asians to one type of skin tone tho. a lot of japanese/east asian mainlanders are very pale.

Living in Japan, you’ll find that the average person in the suburbs that is wearing a Uniqlo-something will basically stick to white, black, grey, tan, maybe green if they’re feeling freaky. 1)

You have to understand the origin of Uniqlo. It wasn’t established to give you “fashion”, it’s more like affordable decent clothing in mass quantity. Colors are very Japanese tone. Not to stand out.

When I was living in Japan I think most of the clothes I saw were generally muted. So I think it’s a Japanese aesthetic choice.

honestly I love the stuff for the function, style and yes the colour shades, it doesn't make me stand out. Obviously I don't buy the item in every single colour, I usually go for the muted colours for everyday casual wear.

Color analysis theory clearly shows how your race or even you eye color or hair color does not dictate your skin undertone. There is no such thing as colors that would look good on asian skin overall

It all depends on your own personal style. I think you’re approaching this from a very American pov. the colors are very in line with Japanese aesthetics.

It’s almost like the entire point of the brand is to be essential wear. Which means greys, white, blacks, tans & blue. Maybe it’s not for you. ☺️
