how the call with my bsf went yesterday: Me: what time do you think we'll have to set off if we have to be there for 7? Her: we can just set off at 7 Me: but it starts at 7 Her: we don't actually have to be there at bang on 7 Me: OK but it says on the invitation 7pm meaning it starts at 7 and if we didn't have to be there at 7 then why did the invitation say 7? (we was nearly an hour late)

I’d add an extra hour to the time mentioned because there can be traffic jams or broken public transportation, just to be sure. Also sitting/waiting in the airport helps transition

My husband and I visited the USA 20 years ago and didn’t want to pre-book accommodation for the first few nights in San Francisco. It took us hours to find a dodgy hotel at night. 😱

I spend so much time trying to get everything I need “just in case” I end up staying up all night for early flight and once I’m ready I need to go bc the anxiety is too much just waiting around…
