In mexican indigenous cultures you have La Lechuza and IYKYK. Being a kid that loved whistling made it so I really wasn't allowed out at night.

im yt.from maine some one taught me when I was a kid to keep a wooden spoon in my window and don't whistle out in the dark. I cant remember them (we were camping i was like 6 or 7. but I'm 43 now and still have a hard time looking into the dark through windows at night.
