Tap to understand it all 👇 That shoulder movement you see is called “circumduction” It's the sum of all the movements that the shoulder basically allows : flexion/extension, adduction/abduction, and eventually internal/external rotation In layman's terms, the shoulder is like a ball that can move in circles within its socket, thanks to its unique anatomical structure The typical example for understanding this is the warm-up we all know, which consists of rotating your arms in space, as if you were drawing circles ⭕ In relation to my video, it's after having made a complete turn that my shoulders return to their initial position However, you can see that I stop turning on myself after one and a half turns and go back the other way because I can't go on any further 🤔 Well, this is due to my wrists blocking me as I'm holding a pull-up bar with my hands ✊ If my wrists weren't blocking me, I could do an infinite number of turns !
