@callee_ann: Having your dream home birth after 5 miscarriages in a year definitely felt like a Hozier’s yell moment 😭 Edited to add a few things: 1) I tried keeping up with the comments but it’s a struggle. Thank you SO much for the sweet words. A lot of them made me emotional. Iykyk but nothing beats meeting your baby for the first time. 2) My hair was down and my outfit was half on because I had a precipitous birth. From my first contraction to this video was under 30 minutes. I never even noticed my shoes or shorts being on until after I had her and saw this video. We still get a laugh out of that. Many of you asked for a birth story and I actually have one on here with the same thumbnail picture. It’s just a good scroll back. I had her in February of 2022 and she’s a thriving 3 year old now. 3) I have given birth 7 times (not including any of my miscarriages) and I had no clue an umbilical cord could be such a hot topic lol. Mine was hyper coiled which was never diagnosed or discussed in all of my prenatal care. It was a healthy low risk pregnancy once we got past the early miscarriage risk zone. Yes, I had routine dual care with an Ob and a midwife. She was born unassisted due to a short labor. We received medical care shortly after she arrived.
