I once had a momma hen dye on me, my grandma took the dead hen and told me to leave the eggs alone cuz they were 'dead anyway' I didn't listen and went back 20 mins later to crack open all the eggs and found some already hatched, they were all alive and survived months before being eaten by a cat and possum but we had two survive that are actually still alive Pengu and lucky :) sadly we had to give them away because my grandmother's landlord is scared of birds :(
