Now, they often claim these as originally Turkish, despite clear roots in Armenian, Greek, Kurdish, and other civilizations. It's a long history of mixing, adopting, and erasing origins. The reason Turks look different now is because of centuries of mixing with other cultures, including Armenians and Greeks. Turks did not originally look what they look like nowadays. They came from Central Asia and had distinct Asian features.
