If you're allowing your child to have SM platforms before they're an adult, you the parent(s) are part of the problem. There are free apps like Family Link that can block anything.

shame these kinds of acts and ad campaigns weren't around in the early 2000s, I'm still mortified at the things I was exposed to and the people who took advantage. these kinds of ads would've helped

its crazy my 13 lad has a phone we have life 360 as a family so we no when he's at school and home he's not aloud enything other then WhatsApp and we have a family app that blocks Snapchat Facebook...

I tell my daughter dont take photos you wouldnt be happy to show your granny. Also very clear from day one about predators online and how they approach children. Her content is restricted also. -

My kids weren’t allowed social media til they were over 16 and even then I constantly asked what was happening and if they were okay. Emotional maturity is a thing

The issue is the algorithms these sites use, are for engagement so they can see more ads and not for safety, that goes for children and the content being pushed for adults as well. It’s really scary.
