People mad at the previous owners and yeah I get it. But they were surrendered and getting vet care instead of being dumped or set free. Surrendering an animal to a rescue is the best thing they did

I'll never understand neglect of any animal but these are expensive birds why spend the money if you aren't gonna take proper care of them

"don't shame the previous owners" why the hell not? give us some good reason, they tortured not only one but multiple birds. They didn't love them.

remember, shaming doesn't fix the problem, it just makes them stop asking for help. if we name and shame people for cases like this, people with similar cases won't come forward to surrender theirs.

as a nurse, im thankful you arent shaming, i dont know this situation but we had an old woman who had no family, developed dementia and couldnt care for her parrot anymore and only figured out she had

I'm sorry, mental health isn't an excuse for actively letting several animals blatantly suffer.

The worst is that they're so affectionate after being so mistreated. I hope they all recover, but the burger king is shocking

There’s no shame in asking for help!! The shame comes when you allow them to get this bad

I know this is neglect but it’s also a reminder that birds are very VERY involved and not everyone should have one. You gotta have the knowledge and finances to own a bird.

I use to volunteer with my local animal shelter and I ended up very involved with TNR for cats. I found a lot of the times with neglect or hording it’s a mental illness and the person has the best of

As someone with no idea on birds can I ask why you’re spraying them with water or whatever it is?

I'm new to parrot tok - what happens with bird beaks in the wild? do they get overgrown, or do they rub them down somehow?
