@hesaidshesaidofficial: Arguing in front of your children isn't ever ideal, but giving yourself a guilty conscious because of it isn't always necessary. Showing that Mummy and Daddy can fight, but they always find a resolution could teach them a valuable lesson in life. Stop putting pressure on yourselves to always be angels, you're human too and that's okay to show. Do you have any tips on parents arguing? We'd love to hear them. Couldn’t disagree more. No child should witness that/ coming from someone who grew up in a house full of it

i agree, the world isn’t perfect, arguing is part of life, if a child is shielded too much they will be a disfunctional adult, forever seeking perfection… it needs to be a balance though!

Respectful disagreements fine. Full blown rows extremely damaging to children

Disagree entirely. I never saw my father raise his voice at my mother and that set the tone for what I found acceptable in my relationships. I saw bickers about trivial household things but never rows

I agree, my sons dad & I never argued in front of him, when our relationship broke down he took it so bad, he later told me it knocked him for six because he never heard a crossed word between us

I think arguing is part of life and I think showing that you can deal with conflict and not avoid it is really important. We just have loads of avoidant kids.

Children see, hear, understand way more than parents realise & the older they get, more understanding they have, even when you think your hiding it, they know. That’s my experience when I was a child

I grew up hearing shouting and screaming. me and my husband try not to argue infront of the kids but I think if it happens just make sure they see you resolve it and that you still love eachother.
