I got Simparica trio from Dutch pet when I couldn’t get my dog into a vet after I moved. Now that we finally got into a vet, they wouldn’t fill it again without heart worm test (1/2)

Tbh I get it. As a human I get frequent utis and my doc requires a test every time to prescribe me antibiotics. This being the same for pets makes sense but is understandable frustrating

I will say it’s super annoying when your 14 year old dog who has had almost yearly ear yeast infection has to see the dr instead of just giving me the same medication I get every time 😅 yes he’s up to date , I don’t need an ear cytology for the 15th time. I can tell it’s yeast, it’s always yeast he’s a cocker spaniel 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

When I had to tell a guy I couldn’t just give him medication, he proceeded to tell me that ‘that’s bulls** yes you can.’ Then proceeded to cuss me out and flip me off. We hadn’t seen the pet in years!

I had a lady yell at me and say it’s not law for me to give her triheart without a heart worm test within the last year and that she has to be given it, we require one within the past year

my dental hygienist is a client at the clinic I work at and at my appointment on Monday, she complained to me that she had to bring her cat in for a annual to get meds refilled🙄

Similar but not the same. I had an owner yell , cuss me out, and try to bribe me with money to interpret the x rays for them 😭😭 told them it wasn’t worth losing my job

the only time my vet doesn't require the tests is if you are consistent while prevention like we get a year at a time from them and book appointments right before the last dose so we can get the next
