well they could do that. the newer pro phones have the always on display, so it shows a darkened version of ur lock screen - i imagine it’s possible

maybe a locket situation would work. like you could have a little decorative door over the screen when you’re not using it, and it’ll just look like a bracelet.

they could do something that has similar tech to the frame tv and make it look like a regular watch when not being used like how the tv looks like art. it’d probably be so expensive though 😭

iirc, fossil made some watches similar to what you're explaining years ago. I think they called them hybrid watches. they're all discontinued now because they weren't very popular.

samsung has 2 lines of watches, regular and active. the active looks like a screen, but the regular one has a bezel around the screen, and an always on display option. thats probably the closest

until they fix this issue, maybe u could try wearing the screen on the inside of ur wrist? that way if you have a cute band, it just looks like a bracelet
